KATY WIEGMANN

I am based in the North East of England, beside the sea.

At the moment my art work fits around my other two passions, my gorgeous sons and teaching art & design.  If only there were more hours in the day!

I am interested in depicting subtle yet powerful moments in my work.
We can communicate an enormous amount with the slightest of gestures, touches or glances. 

I currently make drawings, paintings and photographs.

Drawing accounts for a great part of my work. 
Unlike any other medium I have worked with, there is an uninterrupted relationship between the drawing and me.
I enjoy drawing at a larger than life scale, to create a raw and intimate image.
